BIM BUM BAM

November 2024

BiM, Milano

bim bum bam is a group exhibition curated by Kenny Alexander Laurence, in collaboration with Specific and BiM, bringing together 23 of the most vibrant voices from Milan's emerging art scene.

The exhibition revolves around an Italy in flux—mixed-race, sexually liberated, and digitized—that, though still a minority, takes shape through the rapid and constant reshuffling of a major European city swept by global currents.

The title is an onomatopoeia, the sound of a sequence of actions. Sounds that, when rendered graphically on a comic book page, convey both simultaneity and sequence—an inscribed momentum marking the rhythm of a choreography, or rather, a generational struggle fought over the fate of the world.

Featuring works by Ludovica Anversa, Nicola Bianco, Mara Callegaro, Kenshiro Caravaggio Carena, Simona Coltello, Nicole Colombo, Riccardo De Biasi, Camilla De Siati, Valentina De Zanche, Alice Fiorelli, Martina Ferrari, Marte Livio, Lorenzo Schetter Li Greci, Alessandro Macciardi, Marcello Maranzan, Rebecca Momoli, Marvin Gabriele Nwachukwu, Marco Resta, Fabiola Skraqi, Mario Uliassi, Alejandra Varela Perera, Pietro Vedovato, and Federico Zeltman.
