PREGHIERE AL MIO AMORE - PREGHIERE AL MIO ESECUTORE
2021
Digital print on Carrara marble, series of six, each 11 x 18 x 2 cm, total installation: 180 x 50 cm
A poetic and liturgical apparatus composed of six steles in Carrara marble laid on a strip of earth. Each monolith, sculpted in a sacred almond shape, offers itself as a score of invocation. The solidity of marble meets the vulnerability of print; monumental memory confronts intimate and affective testimony. Verses red as blood transform the stone into flesh, inhabit it like a wound. Here prayer does not elevate: it digs. Love does not sublimate: it degrades into violence. A bastard liturgy, an emotional coagulation that demands reappropriation. The earth, dark and damp, receives the steles like seeds of memory in a sensitive field. The words return not to rot, but to bloom again. The work establishes a secular altar of prayer, offering a safe space and a living pause in which to move through trauma.
